BUSINESS
TYPE A telecommuting-based, web
services bureau in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. My previous long
term home base was Silicon Valley.
EXPECTED TASKS Converting existing
documents, notes, text, images, voice and audio clips, or
video clips into usable formats for presentations on the
web, in print, for database searches and in short
QuickTime movies. I am targeting intranet and extranet
operations, plus tourism vacancy sellers and am open to
any suggestions as to other mutually agreeable
possibilities.
PRIMARY
ROLE Breaking down and simplifying
complex information into understandable language both in
English and for foreign language translations. I help
clients to better understand and manage the flow of
internal company information. I do this by linking all of
the relevant, designated resources. I convert or
deconstruct, if need be, edit, pre-produce, modify,
re-order, polish, link and present various kinds of
marketing, engineering and administrative
information.
SECONDARY
ROLES Assessing the Big Picture.
Recommending strategies. Preparing modified reports.
Creating cutting edge documentary / corporate video
training pieces, trade show demo loops, and unique
creations. Doing the *little things* to assure
successful, timely deliverables. Linking data and
knowledge bases to users and their interfaces through
instructions and descriptions.
COMMUNICATION CW has a great variety of
hardware and software to handle managerial, staff and
systemwide communications that link CW with its clients.
The methods and frequency of mutual reporting must be
agreed upon before work starts.
KNOWLEDGE
BASE APPROACH If you are trying to move
your processes, techniques, solutions and remedies into
interconnected reports, directed searches, and repository
access, I can help. If you have a variety of divisions,
departments, teams, work groups, these folks need to
share a lot of information. Images, charts, schedules,
plans, product and services descriptions, databases,
knowledge bases, marketing literature, demonstrations,
training literature, help desk remedies, ordering info
and meeting minutes must be systematized and smoothly
deployed within your organization and to your customers.
